The Organising Committee for AMOS – ICSHMO 2018 invites you to submit an abstract for presentation at the Conference, to be held at the University New South Wales Kensington Campus, Sydney, 5-9 February 2018.
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations must be prepared using the abstract template.
Abstracts will be reviewed for technical content and selection purposes. All enquiries regarding abstracts should be emailed to the Conference Secretariat.
Abstracts will be published in the conference digital proceedings and given to all conference attendees.
Abstracts may be submitted for the following presentation types:
Lightning Lecture (2min short oral presentation plus poster).
Final decisions on the type of presentation offered will rest with the Programming Committee and their decision will be final.
All abstracts must be submitted via the website online by 5.00pm AEST 31 August 2017. Note: The deadline for submissions will NOT BE EXTENDED. Please plan your timetable for preparation and submission carefully.
How to submit an abstract
1. Download the AMOS 2018 abstract template. Abstracts must be submitted as Microsoft Word documents using this template. We recommend that you save your abstract before uploading. Abstracts must not exceed 300 words. No acknowledgements, figures or references should be included.
2. Create an account. This must be done before you can submit an abstract.
3. Follow the instructions to complete the online submission form
4. Upload your abstract. Note: Save your submission as a draft for further editing or submit for review
How will I know that I have successfully uploaded my abstract?
Once your submission and file upload have been submitted, a "Submitted" message will appear on your edit abstract screen. You will also receive a confirmation email.

Terms and conditions
It is a condition of acceptance of the abstract that at least the presenting author must register to attend the Conference and present the paper either orally or participate within the dedicated poster sessions. Abstracts submitted before payment of registration are eligible for an offer of acceptance but final acceptance (and publication as a conference abstract) requires registration and payment by the deadline of 31 October 2017. All presenting authors must attend at least the full day of their presentation. Submission of abstracts implies the author’s agreement to publish the abstract in all Conference publications including the website.
Acceptance of abstracts does not imply any payment from the Conference Committee. Authors must arrange and pay their own accommodation, travel etc. to attend the Conference. Acceptance or otherwise is at the discretion of the Conference Program Committee whose decision is final.
